1612: Engaging NEET young people in the natural environment
This paper is summarised from a Natural England report “Changing Young Lives - Engaging NEET young people in the natural environment”
Year of Publication2012
This paper summarises experiences of seven projects which have engaged young people between 13-24 years who are not in employment, education or training (NEET). A stand-out feature is the importance the projects place on giving young people opportunities to influence and, in some cases, deliver project activities. This demonstrates that they can make a valuable contribution and their views and abilities are valued by others and then feeds into their self worth, contributing to a transformation in confidence and resilience.
