Summary The variety of soil types is partially controlled by geodiversity and soil diversity is crucial to biodiversity, therefore the conservation of all three must go hand in hand. This paper presents a case study from a tourist honey pot within Geomon, the Anglesey Geopark, where the general public could easily be encouraged to consider soil as the key to a range of aspects of landscape and biodiversity.
