Year of Publication2008
The natural environment can have a restorative effect on people, making them feel less stressed, more relaxed and more able to concentrate. It can speed recovery from surgery, lower blood pressure, improve mood, self esteem and behaviour. For healthy people it can improve concentration and stress. For urban communities it can reduce violence and crime and improve social interaction
