No more news about CAP reform is likely for 12 months. Natural England has set out how Environment Stewardship will operate for the remaining two years of the current programme. Wheat prices continue to rise - despite high stocks there are worries about this year’s crop, there are problems getting last year’s to the market in some parts at this time of year and there are worries about export bans. Barley also remains in short supply and there are good premiums for human consumption spring beans.
