Out of 220 recommendations Defra have agreed to 159 and are considering a further 31. They are already reducing inspections in some areas for those with a strong track record. They are working to get better at sharing information and online working will help this. They will continue to press the EU to adopt a more risk-based approach and to simplify the CAP. They are drawing up key environmental actions for farmers. They have found ways to lift the 6 day standstill requirements for movements of cattle, sheep and goats. They will launch a staff exchange programme this April.
