Electricity generated from on-shore wind power can be used on farm or sold to the grid. It can displace electricity generated from fossil fuels, so reducing carbon emissions and the business costs associated with rising oil and gas prices. On-farm wind turbines must be well sited and have a consistent and adequate wind speed if they are to be a profitable investment.
