Sheep scab is costly to individual businesses and to the sheep industry. The model calculates the possible costs associated with sheep scab and its control in individual flocks and the likely benefits of dipping or injecting with an appropriate product. The hypothetical example provided highlights the costs and benefits of injecting all sheep in a 500-ewe flock with an appropriate product. Information is provided on how to access the cost/benefit model and others online without charge.
