8% of households in England have access to no or slow broadband. Sparse hamlet and isolated dwellings had the highest proportion of households with no or slow broadband, 47%. Almost a quarter of households in rural areas only have access to no or slow broadband. The average broadband speed in less sparse urban areas was 12 Mbit/s and in less sparse villages 4 Mbit/s
