Understanding fertilisers for horse pastures

Using pasture for grazing, or making hay and haylage removes nutrients from the soil. These must be replaced to ensure adequate grass growth. Before applying fertiliser it is important to assess the drainage and acidity of the soil. Details of the nutrients in fertiliser bags and how they are quantified are provided.
