Equine law: buying and selling horses

The buying and selling of horses is similar to the buying and selling of other goods. This involves contract law. Problems can occur with contracts between the seller and the buyer. Buyers and sellers of horses through businesses or private arrangements have rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and other legislation. Pointers to good practice for buyers and sellers are outlined.
