Horse pasture management: understanding the value of lime

An overview of the value of correcting soil acidity in horse paddocks.

Incorrect levels of acidity in the soil can be detrimental to grass growth. This can affect the well-being of the horse. It is therefore important to test the soil acidity every few years. Excess soil acidity can be corrected through applications of lime. Factors affecting the application of lime are discussed.
