The employment rate was 71.5% in urban areas and 78.0% in rural areas. 76% of working age workers in urban areas and 74% of working age workers in rural areas were full time. The unemployment rate was 8.6% in urban areas and 5.3% in rural areas. The economic inactivity rate for 2009 was 21.8% in urban areas and 17.7% in rural areas.
